Every client asks for the same things, each in a different way
Fashion houses and large brands are asking suppliers to align with the ESG framework published in May 2026 by FHCM (the French federation of haute couture and fashion) and CNMI (the Italian National Chamber of Fashion).
In the meantime, every client sends its own questionnaire. A small workshop has no ESG department: it answers everyone, redoes the same documents and loses working days.
Whoever works with subcontractors has an extra task: the framework asks them to stand behind their own supply chain too (expectations 4 and 5).
The framework
A common language for the fashion supply chain
ESG Harmonized Expectations is a voluntary framework by FHCM and CNMI: 7 essential commitments, 4 pillars, 21 themes and 50 expectations. It is not a law and it is not a certification.
- GOV
Governance
4 themes, 8 expectations
The legal right to operate, acceptance of the client's code of conduct, responsibility for your own supply chain, production capacity and business ethics.
- HS
Health and safety
6 themes, 17 expectations
Risks in premises and operations, machines and protective equipment, emergencies and firefighting, workplace hygiene, chemicals and workers' housing.
- SOC
Labour conditions
5 themes, 14 expectations
Workers' rights, employment relationships, working hours, wages and compliance with labour laws.
- ENV
Environment
6 themes, 11 expectations
Monitoring of impacts, waste, reducing negative impacts, energy, natural resources and compliance with environmental laws.
Read the framework in plain words
SCDD is not affiliated with or endorsed by FHCM or CNMI. The official text is the publishers' own.

How it works
Five steps, at your own pace
Sign up
Create your account with your email and enter your company details. It takes a few minutes.
Describe your company
You describe how your company works. SCDD Moda picks the expectations and documents that apply to you.
Do the self-assessment
For each expectation you answer yes, partly, no or not applicable. You can add a note.
Put your documents in order
You upload documents with issue and expiry dates. The expiry calendar shows what is about to expire and how ready you are for an audit.
Share with your clients
You choose which clients see the dossier. The improvement plan lists what to fix, with an owner and a due date.
Working for several clients? With production capacity you can see whether an order fits before accepting it (expectation 6).
For those who follow subcontractors: who is falling behind, before an audit asks
For each supplier you see the sharing status, documents with their expiry dates, band and audit readiness, and alerts on the essential commitments.

Why you can trust it
Your workers' data stays yours
Payslips, ID documents and other documents with personal data are never shared with clients. The client can see that they exist and their status, not the files.
You choose who sees the dossier
You grant every share and you can withdraw it whenever you like. A client only sees the suppliers that chose to share with it.
You know who looked at what
Every time a client opens the dossier or downloads a file, it is recorded in a log you can check.
It is not a certification
SCDD Moda prepares you for an audit, it doesn't replace one. The self-assessment is your own declaration, aligned with the framework: it doesn't guarantee the outcome of any check.

Frequently asked questions
Is SCDD Moda different from SCDD?
No, it is the same platform: SCDD Moda is the edition with the fashion framework. The same account works for everything.
Does SCDD Moda issue a certification?
No. SCDD Moda is a tool to help you prepare: it helps you understand what you are asked, complete the self-assessment and keep your documents in order. It does not issue certificates and does not replace an audit. The framework belongs to FHCM and CNMI.
How much does it cost for a supplier?
Nothing. Suppliers use SCDD Moda for free.
What do my clients see?
Only the clients you choose to share with. They see the status and dates of your documents, the files that don't contain personal data and the result of your latest submitted self-assessment, with your notes on “no” and “partly” answers. If you choose, they also see the weekly load on your production lines, without orders or clients. They never see documents containing workers' data.
Do I have to upload employees' payslips and ID documents?
No. For documents with personal data you can declare that you have them and will show them at an audit, without uploading them. If you do upload them, they stay yours and are not shared with clients.
Do I need an ESG consultant?
No. SCDD Moda is designed for owners and managers of small companies, with questions in plain words. If you already work with a consultant, they can work on the same dossier with you, with the role you choose.
Does it work in other languages?
Yes: Italian, English and French.
